Bognor Regis House Clearance Requirements
We were called this week by a landlord who had been renting out a three storey property in Bognor Regis for the last fifteen years. The property was now empty and his son and wife were intending to move into it as soon as possible. The house had been let as a furnished property and his son did not wish to keep any of the furniture so he wanted us to fully clear the property and give it a good clean. He also asked us if we’d be able to cut back the garden which was very overgrown, which we agreed to do.
House Clearance Overview
We arrived at the house in Bognor Regis at 9am, anticipating a fairly big job as it was a three storey property. Our client was at the door to meet us and gave us a quick tour of the property so that we could see what needed to be done. As he had described, the garden was very overgrown, with lots of weeds and vines. The house itself was in a fairly good condition, but was quite dirty in places after so many years of rental. After our client had shown us around the property he decided to leave us to it and return later in the day to pick up the keys. We had told him that it would take us around six hours to clear and clean the property as we like to give all of our clients an idea of how long the work will take. We began by carefully removing the furniture from each room, making sure not to damage the walls or doorways. Around half of the pieces of furniture in the house were in a good condition, while the other half were in too poor a condition to be recycled. We divided all of the furniture into two separate lots, one to be taken to a selection of local charity shops in Bognor Regis and the other to be taken to a nearby recycling station. Clearing the furniture took us two hours as there were so many items and several of the pieces needed to be broken up in order to remove them from the house. After we had cleared the property, we decided to begin tackling the overgrown garden. We had brought gardening tools with us in our van, so armed with a lawn mower and several large cutting tools we set about cutting back the vines and weeds and mowing the overgrown lawn. As the garden was quite a large one, this took us a further two hours, though thankfully we were able to dispose of all the natural waste in a large compost bin at the bottom of the garden. After we had cut back all of the weeds the garden looked a lot better so we were able to pack away our equipment and move back into the house to get started on the cleaning. We started at the top of the house and worked our way down, dusting corners, mopping floors and scrubbing sticky marks off of door frames. The cleaning took us two hours in total, making the whole job six hours long, just as we had told our client.

Client Comments
When our client returned to pick up the keys he was thrilled with what we had managed to achieve in just six hours and especially the transformation that we had brought about in the garden.
