As an established house clearance and rubbish removal company, we realise one size rarely fits all! We have developed 3 x different services designed to meet our customers varying needs. It is entirely up to you what service you think will best meet your needs – we can offer points for you to consider but the ultimate decision is yours!

Do you need a partial clearance of a house or flat? Just a loft/ attic, cellar, sheds, conservatories, out-house or garage to be emptied? Have items that just need to be collected from a difficult place such as the 12th floor of an office or block of flats – we have the service for you!

We are proud to offer our hourly service in the London and Midlands areas. The perfect solution for anyone who has done some or the majority of sorting through a property themselves and just needs a helping hand to finish everything off and taking the heavy items of furniture away.

Abacus Hourly Service

Have you managed to get rid of all your unwanted junk apart from one large item that you just need dismantling? Maybe you’ve cleared the property and it just needs a garden tidy?

when you book our hourly service we book the time that works best for you.

We do not charge upfront payments for UK customers. Payment can be made via debit/credit card, cheque or bank transfer once the clearance has been completed. For overseas customers, payment is to be made the morning of the clearance once an estimate has been established in order for the clearance to proceed.

In the sad event the clearance is due to the bereavement and probate are dealing with the matter, we can invoice solicitors, power of attorney or executors of the estate.

There is no need to box or bag anything up. Our friendly staff will clear everything from inside cupboards, wardrobes, drawers, they will take up carpets and underlay and sweep right through the property as well if required.

Short answer, no!

We understand it can be upsetting to watch a loved one’s home be emptied no matter how respectful or considerate our teams are.

We can collect and return keys from local estate agents, solicitor’s office or a next door neighbour. You can even send us keys by special delivery.

We use authorised recycling sites and send reusable items such as clothing, bedding, bric-a-brac and furniture to charity shops.

We operate seven days a week and offer our hourly service across London and the Midlands.

Our clearance teams are skilled, uniformed, diligent, dependable, thorough, and quietly effective. But as our customers attest, they are also amiable and supportive.

Our teams aim to complete your clearance in the most effective and respectful manner possible and are aware that they frequently handle items that trigger deeply sentimental memories in our customers.

We do not use subcontractors!


We take clothes, towels & linens, crockery, cutlery, curtains, furniture, white goods (cookers, fridges, washing machines), pots, pans, kitchen utensils and what we like to call ‘life items’; books, vases, pictures, lamps, mirrors, ornaments etc and we also remove any waste/rubbish.

We clear out garages, basements, sheds, conservatories, outhouses, and lofts and attics. (As part of a comprehensive clearance). We can take up carpets and underlay and dismantle stairlifts if they’re not hard wired into the mains.

Ultimately, apart from explosives, asbestos and large quantities of paints, oils and chemicals we can completely clear and remove any items you specify, including cars, boats, caravans on the property!

We also offer garden cut back and cleaning services to help increase properties’ appeal for renting or selling.

We will provide you with your own invoice which includes our business and tax details.
If you wish, we can also provide you with a waste transfer note and/or waste-disposal receipt.

We can usually arrive at your door within one or two days of receiving the go-ahead.

We just need to know a few simple details, such as the location and size of your property, rough idea of items to be cleared, and if you want anything very large or unusual to be removed, such as a piano, car or motorbike.
