We were called in to pick up the keys from an estate agent and clear a 3 bedroom semi-detached house in Hillsborough, Sheffield that had a shed and a couple of other small outbuildings. The property also had an overgrown garden which needed to be cut back.

The property had been vacant for some time and sadly all of the contents were either too old, damaged or did not meet fire safety regulations to donate to charity, so we took the full contents to a recycling centre near Hillsborough where they were recycled and the materials sorted and reused which meant that the clearance was 100% environmentally friendly.

There was no closeby parking for this property as it was accessed down a charming little lane which meant it took the team a bit longer to transport the items from the property to where the van could be securely parked. Three days and five loads to complete the clearance and the garden cutback.

Squatters had broken into a two bedroom house which was empty as the owner had sadly passed away a few months before. During the winter months, the squatters had been using the fireplace in the living room. They unfortunately then caused a fire in the kitchen which severely damaged the kitchen and affected the living room and ground floor bathroom of the property.

Luckily no one was hurt and the fire brigade managed to put the fire out before it spread to the neighbouring houses or took hold of upstairs, but the ground floor contents were all smoke and water damaged so had to be disposed of at recycling centres. The family decided to get the full property cleared at the same time to allow surveyors access to assess the property as there was some structural damage following the fire.

We were called upon to clear a small 1 bedroom flat in Ecclesall, Sheffield on behalf of a landlord who needed the property cleared to let out to new tenants. We were ordered to clear the kitchen of all contents such as food, kitchenware, cooker, washer, fridge, microwave and freezer. In the bedroom we removed two bed mattresses, a wardrobe and various bits of junk where as in the living room we were ordered to remove a 3 seater sofa, a TV and TV unit, a table, a fire and fire surround, and again various other bits of junk. Following the clearance we cleaned the property as requested by the customer, vacuuming carpets, cleaning woodwork and kitchen top surfaces as well as the bathroom suite. With that done, the flat was finished in under two hours.
