A call came in to clear a large 4 bedroom house in Earlsdon, Coventry, including a rather packed cellar. The property used to be the family home of our client and he now lived in America, his mother passed away over three years ago and since then his father's health has deteriorated and recently needed 24 hour care after a fall at home. Our client had flown back from America to support his Father and clear the family home which needed to be sold quickly in order to pay for his father's care in a nursing home.

On arrival at his family home, our client saw there was a lot more in the property than he had realised, and reached out for help to clear the property. There were various items our client requested to remain in the property however, the majority was to be cleared. The clearance took just two days with six full van loads of materials removed. We had pre arranged with a local charity shop to take a lot of the furniture, books, clothes and bric-a-brac which was agreed by our client the remainder of the goods we took to a recycling station, whilst we were clearing the bedroom that had been used for storage one of our staff noticed something gold just poking out at the edge of the carpet, and turned out to be what looked like a wedding band. The team gave this to our client who was thrilled as this was his late mother's wedding band which went missing many years before her death and couldn't wait to give it to his father!

Abacus House Clearance were called to a house, garage and shed clearance in Cheylesmore, Coventry. The client called us in need of someone to clear the property and remove the stairlift following a relative passing away and the property being sold. The family were struggling with clearing the property because everyone already had what they needed in their own homes and they felt sad at being unable to keep some of the larger items. We assured the family that there were plenty of items suitable for donation and the rest can still be recycled which they felt better about. We encouraged the family to check with the new owners to see if they would like any of the items in the property and they were pleased to be able to gift the buyers the white goods from the property.

A family got in touch to clear a 2,000 square feet 2 floor office and to remove all fixtures and fittings in Coventry city centre. The removal of the fixtures and fittings included a reinforced cash counter, two suspended ceilings (upper and lower floor) with all lighting, wiring and metal frame also removed, 7 stud partition walls and various other fixtures and fittings including the carpet tiles. We also had to remove over 20 heavy MDF shelving units, over 10 reinforced office work stations, 3 safes that weighed 1.6 tonnes collectively, 6 filing cabinets huge volumes of files, office paperwork and various other office junk such as desk chairs as well as computer equipment. Bringing our van and trailer with us due to being unable to use skips on what was a busy road, we made 4 separate trips to the recycling centre disposing over 10 tonnes of waste. With 5 men on the job the property was cleared and stripped in 3 full days.
