In Roath, Cardiff a landlord had rented out this 3 bedroom property to the same family for a number of years. Glad the property was being well looked after and having a good relationship with her tenants, the landlord was surprised when a rent payment was not received when due and the tenants were not contactable. After being concerned about her tenants welfare, the landlord visited the property and was informed by the neighbours they had not seen the tenants for a while. When further attempts to contact the tenants proved unsuccessful and the following months rent payment was also not received, the landlord started official proceedings. The landlord was granted permission to clear the property nearly a year after the first missed payment.
The landlord was permitted to sell anything within the property as the tenants had chosen not to return and remove anything, to recoup the money lost through the many missed rent payments and subsequent cost of the clearance. Items that could be sold were transported to a nearby storage to be kept safely. The remaining items were recycled. Generic items such as bedding, towels, books, crockery and clothes were donated to charities.

The job was to clear a 3 bedroom property in Canton, Cardiff of just the items the family could not remove or donate themselves. The property contained all the usual types of items such as beds, wardrobes, sofas, wall units, dressing tables, table and chairs as well as lots of books, bric-a-brac, bedding and kitchenware. We had it cleared in a little under three hours.

Cardiff Council asked us to clear a 500 + room high school in Llanishen, Cardiff and gave us a remit of 7 days to complete the job. Abacus took a team of 12 men to Cardiff along with 4 of our vans and a caravan. The team remained in Cardiff for the full 5 days to get the job completed. We used our vans to load and remove all recyclable material on a daily basis and hired in skips for the general waste. Work commenced at 6.00am in the morning until 10.00pm at night every day to full completion of the job. We removed, dismantled and recycled desks, chairs, filing cabinets, computers, heavy machinery, electrical appliances, cardboard, paper, scrap metal and various other articles of waste, over 300 ton all told.
