We took on the clearance of a 3 bedroom house in Oadby, Leicester, which had just been bought by a property developer. Our client had been aware there was a lot in the property, unfortunately the house had been broken into and left in further disarray by burglars who had proceeded to go through the entire property.
Our client required the house and garden to be cleared of all chattels and carpets and to be cleaned just to make it sanitary for the contractors our client had coming in next to start working on making improvements. Unfortunately, the majority of the furniture and belongings were not in good enough condition to donate, but were all recyclable making it a very straight forward clearance. The team completed the clearance and clean in three days, with five loads removed from the property.

We were asked to clear a 3 bedroom semi-detached house in Clarendon Park, Leicester. Our client told us that the property belonged to her mother who had lived in Clarendon Park all her life but had recently became too forgetful and was at risk of living alone and she had arranged for her to move into a 24 hour care facility close by. We removed old beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs, sofas & various other household items including a lot of junk which she had accumulated over the years of living in the house. The clearance took just under three and a half hours. There was quite a lot of furniture in the house, however, this was all old dark furniture which charity shops do not like to take as it is hard for them to sell, we flat packed as much as possible to fit it all within one van load to keep costs down for our client. We took all of the contents to a nearby recycling station.

We were instructed to clear an extremely cluttered 2 bedroom 2nd floor flat in Wigston, Leicester. The property included lots of big, heavy bulky items such as sofas, a fridge freezer, several wardrobes, beds and other larger items and lots of loose household junk that in some rooms almost reached the ceiling. We used 2 big skips and the extended caged van with 6 members of the Abacus team to carry out the clearance. The property was emptied completely in under 2 days.
