House Clearance In Barrow-in-Furness Case Example

In this case, our client had instructed us to completely clear a large four-bedroomed apartment in a contemporary luxury development in Barrow-in-Furness. He was a successful businessman who had operations on a European scale and he had decided to move his headquarters to Paris. He and his young family were now going to move to the city so he was planning to rent out his apartment. However he wanted to put some of his furniture into storage and to sell the rest as they would be renting a furnished apartment in Paris. He planned to rent out his current home on an unfurnished basis which was why he wanted it cleared.

One of our representatives visited the flat to make an assessment of the job and decided that a team of four with one large van should be able to finish the assignment in one day. The whole job was made much easier by the fact that although the apartment was on the fourth floor, the modern building had a sizeable service lift which we would be able to use.

We got an early start on the house clearance day, and the client met us on site. There were still a few items that were to go to storage and he identified those for us. We piled these items, which were being collected the next day, neatly in a corner of the living room.

We moved all of the beds and other furniture from the bedrooms and then moved on to the study where we removed a large desk and two bookcases. Next we took out the living room and dining room furniture. We made good time on the job, partly thanks to the service lift, and we were finished by 3 o’clock, a couple of hours ahead of schedule.
