Job Description: We were hired last week for a house clearance in Coventry, that contained a large amount of mess, food waste and animal faeces. The customer who called Abacus had been living in squalor for months, and was reported to the local council by a neighbour.

The council sent an officer to inspect the 2 bedroom terraced house, and the agreement for a house clearance in Coventry was made. Failure to comply with the agreement with the council could lead to a statutory notice, and even prosecution. The tenant opted for a house clearance in Coventry, and hired Abacus House Clearance as the registered waste carrier to undertake this.

When the customer contacted Abacus, they had warned us that the house was cluttered, and had food waste and faeces inside. The customer wanted to completely clear the house from all waste and furniture, as she had bought pre-owned furniture for when the house was cleared and cleaned.

Disposal of Contents: The Abacus team picked the keys up from the customer, and arrived at the house prompt for 9 am. When we entered the house it smelt of rotten food and faeces, and was cluttered with rubbish and other items. The client had removed the sentimental items that she wanted to keep, and told us that the rest of the contents could be disposed.

We began by clearing up the mess, food waste and rubbish, and bagged it up for disposal. Once the house was clear was mess and clutter, we removed the furniture and all other contents from the house. We then loaded the van with all of the rubbish and furniture taken from the house, and took it to the recycling centre for disposal.

This house clearance in Coventry took around 6 hours to complete, and meant the house was ready to be deep cleaned. The customer was very satisfied with the clearance, as this meant she was compliant with the councils request.
