Chatham Kent House Clearance Requirements
We were contacted at the beginning of the week by a landlord who had been renting out a property in Chatham for the last ten years. He informed us that the previous tenants had left the property in a poor condition and he had decided to take the property off of the rental market and live in it himself. He therefore wanted us to clear it and give it a good clean so that he could move in as soon as possible.
House Clearance Overview
We arrived at the property, a third floor flat in a tower block in Chatham at 10am, ready to get started straight away. Our client had left a set of keys with a neighbour for us, so after picking these up we let ourselves in and made an assessment of the property. As our client had described, the flat was in quite a poor state and was dirty throughout, with lots of stains on the laminate floors and a very dirty kitchen. Other than some items of rubbish, such as beer bottles and newspapers, there were no actual belongings which made our job a lot easier. After removing the rubbish, all of which was recyclable, we began to remove the furniture. Most of the furniture was of the flat pack variety and was in a poor condition, so we decided to break it up and take it to a local recycling scheme in Chatham. After removing all of the poor furniture, we removed the few items that were good enough to be donated to charity. We were then left with an empty flat which was in desperate need of cleaning. Armed with a large collection of cleaning products, we began, scrubbing, wiping and hoovering all of the rooms, removing lots of grease and grime, especially in the kitchen. Overall, cleaning the flat took us two hours and once we were finished we were very happy with the results that we had achieved. We then locked up the house and returned the keys to the neighbour as we had been asked to do.
Disposal of Contents
Most of the furniture was in a bad condition so we took it to a local recycling station just outside of Chatham. The furniture that was in a better condition, we took to a charity shop in Chatham.
Client Comments
Our client was thrilled with the service that we had provided and could hardly believe it was the same flat.
