House Clearance Cardiff

Cyncoed Cardiff House Clearance Requirements

This week we were contacted by a landlord in the Cardiff area. He told us that he owned a four bedroom property in Cyncoed which he had been letting out for the last twenty years. He said that he now wished to sell the property, and as it had been a furnished let he asked us to clear all of the furniture in the property, taking some marked items to a secure storage unit in Cyncoed and the rest to a number of charity shops in Cardiff.

House Clearance Overview

We arrived at the house, a semi detached property in Cyncoed at 9am. We had picked up the keys from our client earlier that morning so we let ourselves in and carried out an initial assessment. The furniture which our client wished us to take to a secure storage unit was all in the dining room of the property so we decided to get this packed into our Luton van and take it to the storage unit first. A few of these pieces were antique, so we took extra care with them, making sure not to bump or scratch them as we moved the out of the house to our awaiting van. We then secured them tightly in the van so they would not get bumped around during the journey. Two members of our team then set off to take them to the storage unit while the rest of us got started on moving the remainder of the furniture. All of the other pieces, including four bed frames and three large wardrobes, were in a good condition so we decided they could all be taken to a number of local charities in Cardiff. We also knew of a homeless hostel in the area to which we had donated items before so we decided to take some of the smaller furniture, such as chests of drawers and coffee tables there. The rest of the furniture took us just under two hours to dust, wipe and then pack securely into our vans. After we had finished transporting it we checked the whole house to make sure that we hadn’t forgotten anything and then locked up, ready to return the keys to our client and drive the furniture to the homeless charity and to a number of other charity shops in Cardiff.

Disposal of Contents

As all of the furniture was in a good condition we were able to donate it all to charity, including a local homeless charity in the area that we had given things to in the past.

Client Comments

Our client was very pleased with the work that we had carried out and was very happy that we’d managed to donate the furniture he did not wish to keep to charity shops in Cardiff.
