Colchester police hunting road fly-tippers

COLCHESTER police have threatened tough action against fly-tippers after a number of rubbish-dumping incidents south of Colchester.

In early February, fly-tippers spread a large amount of rubble and soil on the road over a stretch of about 50 yards in Layer Marney.

Police are investigating a link to other incidents in January. In late January, soil, bricks and dirt were strewn over a distance of about 16 metres on Kelvedon Road, Messing. A yellow tipper lorry was seen near the scene.

On January 24, bricks and dirt were discovered dumped at Haynes Green Road, Layer Marney.
